DESCRIPTION
Equipment Manager General Expectations/Responsibilities:

Shop Supervisor Responsibilities:

Manage an effective equipment maintenance program for all equipment assets. Assist with and refine/improve processes relating to general administration, shop accounting, and equipment cost tracking. Ensure all shop/equipment reporting and documentation is completed on time and recorded/saved in the proper location. Become proficient using the company ERP systems (COINS) for equipment monitoring, maintenance, repairs, etc. Assist Yard Manager and Equipment Manager as necessary. Supervise mechanics, assistant mechanics, mechanic helpers, and laborers in the shop and on the projects. Work hands on with mechanics and others as necessary to ensure shop and yard operations meet the project needs. Inspection of equipment arriving and departing from the shop/yard to ensure its in good working condition. Inspection of equipment transferring between projects at proper intervals to ensure its in good working condition. Communicate/collaborate with project personnel as necessary to fully understand equipment conditions and issues, and to implement the necessary actions to repair/replace equipment to minimize impacts to the projects. Manage an effective equipment maintenance program for all equipment assets. Organize, operate, and maintain the shop to improve productivity and cost efficiency as much as possible. Maintain shop inventory of tools, fluids, supplies, etc.

Position requirements include:

Willingness to train on maintenance for various brands and types of equipment. Ability to travel to projects sites. Occasional night and/or weekend work. Using MS Word, MS Excel, and other software. Managing several people and working with peers and managers. Strong interpersonal and organizational skills. Self-starter and ability to work unsupervised. Team player and self-motivated to be successful and help others be successful. Legally able to work in the US. Valid driver’s License.
