JOB SUMMARY

The Maintenance Supervisor is responsible for implementing the daily maintenance plan for mechanical and mobile maintenance.

Including, but not limited to, measuring tools, personal computers, drafting tools and programs, and calculators.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
Must be physically capable of any physical assignment. Must be able to climb steps, ladders, and traverse walkways (including catwalks). No fear of heights or confined spaces. Adequate vision and hearing to allow satisfactory job performance.
MENTAL REQUIREMENTS
Ability to read common workplace documents including letters, procedures, manuals, warning labels, and signs. Ability to understand complex information, technical jargon, and acronyms. Ability to compose grammatically correct written messages. Mathematical reasoning skills for workplace situations involving money, time, measurements, fractions, and decimals. Ability to understand and use information from charts, graphs, tables, forms, maps, and drawings. Understanding of technologies related to electricity, mechanics, fluid mechanics, and thermodynamics. JOB DUTIES
Manage daily planned and reactive maintenance in coordination with maintenance foremen. Provide leadership for safety and environmental programs within the maintenance departments. Support the Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) through timely completion of work orders and disciplined charge-out of spare parts. Contribute to the development and updating of weekly and quarterly maintenance plans and schedules. Assist with the preparation of preventive maintenance routines and manage the preventive maintenance program. Assist with the predictive maintenance program criteria and manage its implementation. Responsible for plant utilities including compressed air, water, steam, heating, and air conditioning. Responsible for the discipline, performance appraisals, and personal development of all personnel within the maintenance departments. Work with the purchasing manager to minimize and control the spare parts inventory. Assist in the preparation and management of the operating budget for maintenance activities. Hold regular maintenance cost review meetings with staff. Coordinate regularly with the production department to ensure timely equipment maintenance and repair. Assist with the development of major maintenance scope and schedules. Maintain detailed maintenance records for optimization and documentation. Perform other duties as assigned. Job duties are subject to change as directed by management.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
High school diploma preferred; two-year technical degree in a related field desired. Five years of maintenance supervisory experience in a cement plant required. History of leadership, cooperation, and positive communication desirable. Ability to read, understand, and follow written and verbal instructions, policies, procedures, and checklists. Ability to write sufficiently to complete company records, logs, and inspection forms. Capability to satisfactorily complete certification training as required by the company. Required to attend mandatory training sessions such as safety, first aid, and training resulting from equipment modifications or process changes.
ENVIRONMENTAL FACTORS
Required to work inside or outside during inclement weather. Required to work overtime and on A, B, or C shifts as needed. Required to work in an industrial environment with hazards such as very hot or cold conditions, heights, and confined spaces. Required to wear company-approved safety equipment including hard hats, safety glasses, ear plugs, safety shoes, harnesses, gloves, protective suits, dust masks, and respirators.
