Position Summary:
The Maintenance Planner works with the maintenance supervisor in developing and maintaining the PM program and processes for the facility. Maximizing equipment availability through most effectively using planned maintenance. The planner works with supervisors and pre-evaluates the need for replacement parts and places orders accordingly. This also requires pre-planning for interruptions in work and develops backup plans to minimize interruptions and downtime.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
The Maintenance Planner is responsible for planning maintenance work orders, repairs, servicing, and efficient functioning of all equipment in the plant. Generate the weekly KPI reports and post them on the maintenance huddle board Planning the replacement before failure based on life cycle studies or past failure rates. The Maintenance Planner also works contractors as needed to facilitate repairs and complete projects if the work cannot be completed in house. The Maintenance Planner works with the Maintenance Supervisor and Operations to meet present and future goals. The Maintenance Planner will determine, Create and/or modify the technical documentation that will support the maintenance department. Technical Documentation will include Drawings (hard copy and digital) PDF’s, CAD, One Point Lessons, etc. This also includes maintaining the digital library and keeping Drawings organized and up to date.
Maintenance:
The Planner’s duties would include managing maintenance data collection and information gathering to more effectively provide more detail and utilization of Somax and the PM’s The Maintenance Planner also works with the Maintenance Supervisors to keep operating equipment in the condition to deliver OEM design reliability, to correct equipment and machines when the reliability cannot be achieved and return them to design specifications. The Planner generates, prepares and maintains documentation to include: Drawings (CAD, Flow Charts, One Point Lessons, etc.) Specifications Spare parts lists OEM manuals Updates the work order and PM system in Somax Asbestos Inspection Survey and Report Refrigerant Inventory Energy Records, (Electricity, NG, Water Consumption) Update BEST System Air Emissions Inventory, (ovens, boilers) The physical and mental demands described in each job posting are representative of those that must be met by an associate to successfully perform the essential functions of each job.
