Project Manager – Grounds/Cemetery Maintenance 2.9 2.9 out of 5 stars 4170 Percival Rd, Columbia, SC 29229 General Overview Byrd Enterprises is looking for a qualified working project manager to take over a National Cemetery Grounds and Headstone Maintenance project. As a company we strive to produce the best results for our customers and those involved with the cemetery. Working in a national cemetery is an extremely high priority job and expectations are held above standards. This job will require an organized and self-motivated worker who can follow direction but also give direction. Working outside will put the working project manager in extreme conditions, hot summer days and cold winter days. The working project manager is responsible for the direction, coordination, implementation, control and completion of project, while remaining aligned with strategy, commitments, and goals of Byrd Enterprises. Responsibilities

• Plan and implement cemetery projects
• Help define project timelines, goals, and deliverables
• Define tasks and required resources
• Collect and manage project team
• Track project deliverables for allotted amounts
• Support and direct team
• Lead quality control
• Monitor and report on daily project progress
• Present to Byrd Enterprises problems with designated solutions
• Implement and manage change when necessary to meet project outputs (Ex. Working overtime)
• Evaluate and assess result of projects
• Assist in managing grounds of cemetery by mowing, trimming, and spraying grass and other grounds maintenance responsibilities..
• Operate zero turn mowers, trimmers, gators, and other heavy equipment in a safe manner around Memorials, shrines, and people
• Create and maintain schedules to ensure work is completed on time
• Maintain and repair equipment Experience Needed
• 3+ years of project management experience
• 3+ years grounds maintenance experience
• Knowledge of operating machinery (Ex. Zero turn mowers, trimmers, edgers, and snow blowers)
• Send/receive emails with attachments (Ex. Word Documents, Excel Sheets, Microsoft Office) Competencies
• Critical thinking and problem solving
• Attention to detail
• Excellent decision-making and leadership capabilities
• Contract negotiation and comprehension
• Ability to take on new tasks and complete correctly
• Able to tolerate stress
• Work independently and work well with other
• Work long hours when needed (ex: summer months)

Full-time, Contract Pay:

$60,000.00 – $66,000.00 per year
