Outage & Planning Supterintendent New-indy Catawba Llc 5300 Cureton Ferry Road, Catawba, SC 29704
SUMMARY:
The Planning & Outage Coordinator will oversee the maintenance and operations, planning, and scheduling for the front and back end of the mill. In addition, this individual will manage the development and execution of the outage plan with defined goals and objectives. This individual works closely with Maintenance Supervisors and Planners, Craftspeople, Engineering, Reliability, Operations, and Contractors.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Verify compliance goals for safety and environmental performance. Establish and communicate maintenance planning and scheduling guidelines and metrics. Develop and execute the T- Minus plan for outage preparation. Manage milestones and ensure deliverables are being met. Establish an outage meeting cadence and facilitate areas and mill-wide meetings. Develop the template and compile a single master Gantt chart for the entire mill. Identify overlaps and conflicts. Support the areas and mitigate possible roadblocks. Build and oversee outage shutdown, execution, and event free startups plans. Coordinate the execution of the Annual Outage.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
Supervise a team of 7 planners. Manage Planners off time, and backfill absences as needed. Monitor and provide feedback on quality of job plans as well as quantity of planned work. Train and assist Planners as needed.
SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS
Associate degree or higher in a related field or 5+ years of applicable work experience. Experience using Maximo or similar enterprise resource planning (ERP) system. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Ability to user interpersonal skills to guide critical decision making. Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to think “outside the box.” Demonstrates accuracy and thoroughness, monitors own work to ensure quality. Expert use of Microsoft Office products. Demonstrated ability to balance priorities that meet short and long-term objectives. Highly organized and uses efficient work methods.

WORK ENVIRONMENT
The noise level in the work environment can be loud at times. Regular exposure to moving mechanical parts. May be exposed to wet and/or humid conditions. Occasionally exposed to high, precarious places, fumes or airborne particles, and vibrations.
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS
Reliability Maintainability Implementation Certificate – Planning Scheduling (RMIC-PS) or Certified Maintenance Reliability Professional (CMRP) preferred.
