Sheet Metal Shop Foreman/Layout Specialist Pleasant View Manufacturing Company Pleasant View, TN 37146 Overview We are a small sheet metal fabrication shop in Pleasant View, TN seeking a dedicated and experienced Shop Supervisor to oversee operations at our Sheet Metal Manufacturing shop. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills and a solid background in Sheet Metal Fabrication. As the Shop Supervisor, you will be responsible for managing daily activities, ensuring quality control, and maintaining safety standards while effectively coordinating with team members and customers. Duties Manage the day-to-day operations of the shop, ensuring that all tasks are completed efficiently and safely. Read and interpret customer blueprints to ensure accurate execution of projects. Conduct quality control checks to maintain high standards throughout the manufacturing process. Train and mentor team members in best practices for safety, efficiency, and quality workmanship. Maintain an organized work environment, ensuring tools and materials are readily available for team members. Experience Proven experience in a supervisory role within the sheet metal fabrication industry is required. Strong understanding of blueprint reading and quality control processes is required. Experience with basic shop maintenance is preferred Excellent communication skills with the ability to manage a diverse team effectively. A commitment to maintaining safety standards on the job site is required. Pay for the position begins at $29/hr depending upon applicants experience. Full compensation package includes 100% company paid health insurance for the employee, bonus program equivalent to 2 weeks pay each quarter, company matched IRA contributions for first 3%, Paid vacation and holidays.
