Job Title:
Service Department Manager Overview:

The Service Department Manager is responsible for the leadership and operational performance of the service department, ensuring customer satisfaction, service team engagement, and financial success. This role also supports the parts counter and plays a key role in optimizing resources and personnel to maintain a high standard of service.

Key Responsibilities:
Customer Experience & Communication:

Uphold customer service standards and ensure high customer satisfaction. Maintain clear and effective communication with both customers and technicians. Provide detailed, transparent invoicing to communicate the scope of work performed.

Service Department Operations:

Write, issue, and invoice work orders accurately and efficiently. Coordinate service workflow by issuing work orders, communicating with technicians, and ensuring timely parts ordering. Oversee organization and cleanliness of all service areas. Monitor, manage, and take action on departmental performance goals and accountability.

Personnel & Training:

Assess technical capabilities of the service staff and coordinate ongoing training. Ensure technician certifications, training, and shop tooling meet manufacturer and Kubota standards. Delegate responsibilities effectively to optimize productivity and performance.

System & Warranty Management:

Utilize and apply DBS (Dealer Business System) proficiently. Collaborate with the Warranty Department to maximize claim processing and profitability. Stay current with service bulletins and complete manufacturer campaigns on time.

Interdepartmental Collaboration:

Work with the Sales Department to optimize trucking and service schedules. Implement manufacturer service programs to support sales initiatives.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

Strong verbal and written communication skills Proficient computer and system (DBS) usage Excellent organizational skills with the ability to multitask General knowledge of power equipment and service operations Ability to delegate, adapt, and manage in a fast-paced environment Goal-oriented with a focus on execution and task completion

Job Type:
Full-time Pay:

$50,000.00 – $95,000.00 per year
