Athletics – Recreation Services; +1 Athletics – Athletic Administration Job Description The Golf Superintendent provides care and maintenance of the Player Development Complex for the men’s and women’s golf teams.
Responsibilities Duties and Responsibilities:
Supervises and participates in the application and recording of chemical applications (fertilizers and pesticides)
Provides care and maintenance of the Men’s and Women’s Golf Player Development Complex including the facility, hitting bay, driving range, putting/chipping greens, pitching and chipping areas, practice holes, and equipment
Manages water usage through irrigation systems
Anticipates personnel, equipment, and material requirements related to golf course maintenance and repair assignments
Develops annual operating budget and plans for maintenance and capital improvement projects
Orders parts, supplies, and equipment as needed
Maintains records and completes required reporting
The ideal candidate will possess the following:
Knowledge of golf
Extensive knowledge of golf course management
Knowledge of safe use, mixing, and application of chemicals and commercial products
Knowledge of management and maintenance of greens, fairways, and roughs
Knowledge of use and operating standards of equipment and tools used in golf course construction and maintenance work

Qualifications Minimum:
