Lifetime Products Inc., is seeking a Industrial Maintenance Supervisor to join our team in Mascot (Knoxville) Tennessee.

Summary:

Supervises and coordinates performing highly diversified duties to install, troubleshoot, repair and maintain production and facility equipment according to safety, predictive and productive maintenance systems and processes to support the achievement of the site’s business goals and objectives. Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following (Other duties may be assigned): Ability to make sound repair decisions following the established best practices of the department, with regard to maintaining equipment functional operation and safety. Provides emergency/unscheduled repairs of production equipment during production and performs scheduled maintenance repairs of production equipment during machine service. Visually inspects and listens to machines and equipment to locate causes of malfunctions. Dismantles machines and equipment to gain access to problem area. Inspects and measures parts to detect wear, misalignment, or other problems. Removes and replaces worn or defective parts of drive mechanism or hydraulic system. Realigns and adjusts components such as spindles and clutches. Locates damaged air and hydraulic pipes on machine, and measures, cuts, threads, and installs new pipe. Starts machines and equipment to test operation following repair. Repairs broken parts. Sets up and operates metalworking tools such as lathe, drill press, or grinder, to make or repair parts. Modifies computer-controlled motion of robot. Assists Mechanical Engineer to modify sketches or computer-generated designs of machine components such as hydraulic system and drive mechanism. Ensure that area personnel are trained and follow all processes. Involved in recruiting and hiring of potential future maintenance employees. Helps develop training and provides training of current and future maintenance employees. Performs activities of workers supervised.

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree (B.A.) from four-year college or university; or one to two years related experience and/or training with a 2 year technical degree/certificate. Previous supervisory experience a must; 3 to 5 years of supervisory work directly leading a maintenance team of 5 to 10 on multiple shifts. Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization. Ability to respond effectively to the most sensitive common inquiries or complaints while having the ability to effectively present information to management. Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, decimals, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent to draw and interpret bar graphs using units of American money and weight measurement, volume, and distance. Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability, concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations. Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out simple one

  • or two-step instructions, and detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions.

Ability to deal with standardized situations dealing with problems involving a several, few, occasional, or no concrete variables. Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, mathematical, or diagram form. Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Proficient computer skills including electronic mail, record keeping and working knowledge of Microsoft office which include Outlook, Word and Excel. Knowledge of spreadsheets and graphics, etc. Experience with Fastcrib a plus. Valid Tennessee driver’s license is required and will be required to become forklift certified. Overtime and some Saturdays will be required, as well as on call availability will be required.
