Description:

Our large manufacturing client is currently seeking a Maintenance Manager. The Maintenance Manager/Engineer is responsible for effectively planning, directing, and coordinating mechanical and electrical project activities in a safe manner, collaborating with all departments and functions. This role provides engineering support to address plant and production issues related to equipment modifications and problems. The Maintenance Manager/Engineer sets up new equipment, creates mechanical drawings, ensures satisfactory operation, and trains others on proper usage. Additionally, this position oversees all aspects of product cost reduction, sustaining engineering, and production support. The Maintenance Manager/Engineer will champion the philosophy of lean manufacturing techniques and their implementation throughout the plant.

This job will have the following responsibilities:
Promote safety awareness and prioritize safety daily.
Maximize process efficiencies by analyzing equipment layout, workflow, assembly methods, and workforce utilization.
Provide engineering and technical support to various departments for specifying new equipment or systems, redesigning existing equipment or systems, analyzing efficiencies, and testing new products, processes,ponents, and materials, while ensuringpliance with safety rules and regulations.
Prepare preventive maintenance instructions for process equipment.
Monitor process equipment service histories to enhance maintenance reliability.
Determine priorities with the Plant Manager and Division Engineering group, implement projects, and maintain detailed documentation as required.
Conduct layouts, coordinate with outside contractors, and supervise construction for assigned projects.
Develop processes, methods, tooling, and production equipment for new programs, and supervise installation and debugging.
Interface with vendors to stay informed about new manufacturing technology and equipment and their potential applications.
Manage and coordinate major capital expenditures, plant modifications, and machine/equipment layout.
Ensure satisfactory operation of new processes or significantly upgraded process equipment.
Rmend the incorporation of new technology forpany applications where feasible and practical.

Qualifications & Requirements:

BS Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Manufacturing Engineering.
6-8 years of experience in Manufacturing Engineering.
Experience with plant layout and design.
Knowledge of lean manufacturing and associated tools for successful implementations.
Ability to manage multiple projects concurrently.
Strong knowledge of Allen Bradley, Black Clawson, and Cast film machinery is beneficial.
Self-motivated, self-directed, results-oriented, and possess good working habits.
Experience working with contractors on machinery installation and modification of existing equipment.
Project Management and Implementation experience required.
