Duties & Responsibilities:

Bus repairs including electrical, cooling, lubricating, braking systems, transmissions and fluids, suspensions, power steering, clutches, temperature, gas regulating components, adjust/test/rebuild engines etc. Perform routine maintenance services, inspections, and DOT checks. All according to Federal, State/Provincial and local guidelines and requirements. Test-driving Buses to confirm repair resolved the issue. Arranges for and obtains appropriate inspections and approval of all major repairs before vehicle is released from maintenance facility. Integrates SOP with our technology system to update safety manager before bus is returned to service. Maintains a safe, clean, productive and efficient work area including ensuring work area is in compliance with all relevant Federal, State/Provincial and local guidelines and requirements. Identifies and reports any additional maintenance and/or repairs found necessary in conducting assigned repairs and maintenance to be performed by Technicians. Records time spent, parts used, and repairs and/or maintenance conducted on appropriate form(s). Performs road calls and on the road repairs as assigned. Work safely and efficiently in a fast-paced shop environment. Qualifications Experience with computer and technology relating to repairs and diagnostics. Experience with diesel and gasoline engines of large fleet buses or trucking fleets. Minimum 3 years of fleet maintenance on Diesel trucks or mechanical experience with buses. Experience with computers for purchasing, and budget management experience. Organizational skills are very important and vital. Excellent computer skills, Word and Excel Excellent verbal and written communication skills Possess the recommended minimum Hand tools for a Diesel Technician Ability to use good judgment and trouble shooting skills Valid applicable state license (CDL preferred) If no CDL at time of hired, must obtain a valid CDL permit within the 1st 90 days. Flexible and able to work in a TEAM or Individual atmosphere.
