Maintenance Director 3.7 3.7 out of 5 stars Memphis, TN 38119 Personnel Placements is hiring a skilled and proactive Maintenance Director to lead all aspects of facility maintenance at our Memphis location. This position is ideal for a hands-on leader with a solid mechanical background and proven experience in managing maintenance teams. The Maintenance Director will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation, safety, and upkeep of the facility’s infrastructure and systems.
Position Responsibilities:
Provide direct leadership and supervision to a team of maintenance personnel. Oversee routine and preventive maintenance of building systems, equipment, and grounds. Coordinate repair efforts across electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and carpentry disciplines. Create and implement maintenance schedules to optimize equipment performance and minimize downtime. Track and control maintenance-related expenses in alignment with the budget. Ensure compliance with safety guidelines, building codes, and regulatory requirements. Respond promptly to urgent maintenance requests and allocate resources as needed. Work closely with other departments to support operations and maintain service quality.
Preferred Qualifications:
Demonstrated experience in facility or property maintenance leadership roles. Strong knowledge of repair techniques, building systems, and maintenance procedures. Skilled in facility management, project coordination, and team oversight. Excellent organizational and time management skills. Effective communication and decision-making abilities. Ability to interpret technical manuals and blueprints. Certification or degree in Facility Management, Building Maintenance, or a related field preferred. Prior experience in residential or commercial property management is advantageous. Must be based in or willing to work on-site in Memphis, TN. BR1
