About the Position Keystone Utility Systems is currently seeking an experienced Water Meter Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with AMI (Advanced Metering Infrastructure) and be skilled in changing out water meters . The warehouse that employees will clock in and out of is based in Broomall, PA. The Project is expected to last around 6 months, or until the completion of the project. After the contract ends, if the employee is willing to travel, the option of going to another job will be available.
Key Responsibilities:
Install and replace water meters Work with AMI systems for meter reading and data transmission Ensure all work meets company standards and local regulations Maintain accurate records of work performed Travel to job sites as required (travel is a key part of this role)
Requirements:
Proven experience with AMI systems is preferred, but not a deal breaker Experience with basic hand tools Minimum of 5 years driving experience Valid driver’s license and clean driving record Strong work ethic and ability to work independently May be asked to use your personal vehicle An upgraded insurance plan will need to be added to your policy. Details and compensation will be explained during the interview process Qualified candidates must be able to pass a background check and a motor vehicle records check Must provide your own basic tools like crescent wrenches, channel locks, a drill, etc Specialty tools such as curb shutoff keys will be provided
Compensation & Benefits:
Pay rate: $23 per hour from the start of your first job to the completion of your last job. Time traveled from clock in to first job and completion of the last job back to the warehouse will be $15 per hour.

About the role In this hands-on field role, you would be responsible for performing a wide variety of duties related to the installation, maintenance, repair, calibration, replacement, testing, and reading of meters What you’ll do Interacting with customers inside their homes and businesses regarding meter related issues Removal and replacement of defective outside reading devices Testing and calibration of meters Installation and replacement of meter fittings Qualifications Candidate must be able to pass a Background check Candidate Must be able to pass a Motor Vehicle Record(MVR) check Candidate must have at least 5 years driving experience. Candidate must be able to supply their own basic set of tools (Crescent Wrench, Channel Locks, Drill, Screwdriver Set, 5 Gallon Bucket) Any specialized tools will be provided.
