Position:
Industrial Control Panel Technician Requirements:
UL508
A Expertise:
Proven experience building industrial control panels to UL508A code.
Wiring Know-How:
Familiarity with PLCs, VFDs, pump motors, instrumentation, and skid interconnection.
Industry Background:
Minimum of 2 years’ relevant industry experience.
Tool Proficiency:
Competent with basic power and hand tools.
Organizational Skills:
Ability to manage multiple tasks and responsibilities.
Communication:
Strong verbal skills and ability to follow instructions precisely.
Work Ethic:
Professional, dependable, and detail-oriented.
Blueprint Reading:
Comfortable interpreting blueprints and wire schedules.
Bonus Skills:
Any PLC programming knowledge is a plus.
Primary Responsibilities:
Panel Wiring & Assembly:
Wire and build industrial control panels based on schematics, blueprints, and wire schedules.
Point-to-Point Wiring:
Ensure proper wire routing, crimping, torqueing, and termination in line with standard practices.
Harness Installation:
Install wiring and cable harnesses, including transformers, within panels.
Fabrication & Layout:
Lay out components for panels and enclosures, then assemble and integrate all electrical parts.
Labeling & Connection:
Properly wire, label, and interconnect sub-panels and components per blueprints. This role offers a hands-on environment where you’ll take part in the full build process of industrial control panels.
