Job Description Facilities Mechanic The Facilities Mechanic performs preventative and corrective maintenance on all assigned equipment, buildings, and grounds to ensure optimal operating conditions and minimize breakdowns or unscheduled downtime. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Must possess unique skills that foster cooperative working relationships and promote a positive image of the department to external personnel.
Ability to work independently or as part of a team, as required.
Inspects and tests equipment and machinery to evaluate operating conditions.
Troubleshoots complex mechanical malfunctions when necessary, identifying and repairing breakdowns.
Determines the materials and tools necessary for completing equipment and machinery repairs.
Personally performs repairs on a variety of equipment and machinery, including motors, pumps, electrical and hydraulic equipment, and others as needed.
Conducts routine maintenance according to manufacturer recommendations.
Assists with other Facilities Department projects as needed.
Actively participates in the procurement and inventory process to ensure materials and tools are available on-site.
Effectively operates operations devices and software (e.g., HotSOS) and communicates professionally via radios, phones, emails, and verbal communication.
Safely uses hand tools, electrical and battery-powered tools, and any other pertinent equipment required for the job.
Adheres to safety guidelines and practices while recognizing and identifying potential hazards at each property.
Works independently with minimal to no supervision.
Must be available to work extended hours and weekends as dictated by project needs.
Complies with all CFI policies and procedures.
Represents CFI professionally in appearance, dress, and behavior at all times, as outlined in the Team Member’s Handbook.
Strives to gain knowledge and experience to fully execute job responsibilities.
Performs other duties as assigned by Corporate Facilities leadership. High school diploma or GED
3-5 years of experience as a maintenance mechanic
Ability to direct work, train, and provide feedback as needed
Proficient in English communication
Ability to read and understand schematics, blueprints, and SDS sheets
Ability to lift 50+ lbs, walk for extended periods, work in high temperatures, and perform other duties associated with the position
Able to work outdoors in all weather conditions, as long as it is safe
Punctual in reporting to work Language Skills Must communicate effectively with immediate supervisors and resort leadership.
Written and verbal communication in English is required. Certificates, Licenses, and Registrations Must have a valid driver’s license.
