Rogers Group Inc. is currently seeking a Maintenance / Millwright Technician in the Butler, Georgia, Georgia SMA reporting to the Butler Plant Manager. The successful candidate will have demonstrated ability to lead safety, quality, and revenue generation throughout our existing operations and additional operations through growth.
Job Details:
Wages start at $28.00hr, Starting wage may be higher based on verifiable maintenance experience. Fulltime/Permanent Day shift 6:35am – 4:00pm
Weekend work may be required
Overtime may be required
Job Responsibilities:
Perform routine inspections
Preventative Maintenance
Lubricating and cleaning mechanisms
Operation of Heavy Equipment:
Manlifts, Backhoes, Telehandlers, Excavators, Dozers and Front-End Loaders
Adjusting and repairing conveyor belts
Repair and upkeep of water pumps
Trouble shooting malfunctions
Ensuring safety and operational efficiency of plant equipment
QUALIFICATIONS
Extensive knowledge of industrial slurry and water pumps required.
Mechanical aptitude/ability to diagnose and perform plant repairs as needed.
Previous fixed plant maintenance or related industry experience is required.
Experience reading schematics/blueprints required.
Experience in fabricating, cutting, and welding is required.
Experience operating heavy equipment required.
Prior mining experience a plus
Uncompromising focus on safety excellence.
Self-motivated and able to work independently, without close supervision.
Self-motivated individual – must be able to perform required duties independently, without constant supervision.
Must be flexible on working hours and locations with the ability to adapt to different work environments.
Valid driver’s license.
Pass pre-employment drug screen.
