Boiler Superintendent Estes Refractory & Insulation of LA, Inc. Jeanerette, LA 70544 Position Overview The position will manage the operations of multiple projects in an industrial setting, working to achieve a successful outcome for both the customer and Estes. Critical aspects of the position require pre-project planning, effective and efficient crew management, ensuring that operations are in line with company safety standards at all times, and staying on time and on budget. Responsibilities Perform “job walks” with customers to gain the knowledge and understanding of what the job scope will consist of and to be able to communicate the scope to the estimating and project management team. Work with the estimating team to ensure that the proper quantities of assets, resources, and time are accounted for in each bid. Provide operational insight, based on previous experience, to build project schedules, then update and adjust the schedule throughout the project. Allocate crews and resources according to project schedule needs and adjust as necessary in a timely manner. Assisting the project manager in “buying out” the project with consumables, equipment, and materials. Staying up to date on all company safety policies and standards and ensuring that crew members are working accordingly. Responsible for all company assets on the jobsite. Qualifications and Requirements Be able to read drawings, P&ID and understand process plant equipment. 3 -5 Years supervision experience managing crews and coordinating work to meet schedules. 3-5 years’ experience welding, fitting, and rigging in plant environment.

Preferred knowledge of the following:

heat exchanger repairs, dryer/kiln repairs (specifically shell and drum), and piping and structural repair (including cladding /overlay repair). Comfortable working at heights and confined spaces Reliable truck and driver license to pull 20′ tool trailer to jobsites Written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills to effectively work with all levels of the organization. Travel and stay overnight frequently. Moderate knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, specifically Word and Excel.
