HOW YOU WILL IMPACT INGEVITY
Perform repair, maintenance, overhaul and service work on industrial and automotive equipment Analyze and understand jobs assigned, layout work, procure necessary materials, diagnose and remedy trouble as noted or when breakdowns occur Work with high pressure steam lines and hydraulic control systems including installation and maintenance Understand the general principle of operation of all equipment serviced Cut, rig, thread, fit, install, align, dismantle, remove, reaper, connect and maintain a variety of pipe with various fittings, gaskets, valves and handers throughout the Carbon Department as directed by supervision Read, interpret and work from drawings, blueprints, sketches, diagrams and manuals Make, shrink and press fits using heat as necessary Lubricate mechanical equipment being repaired, overhauled or installed Operate cranes Apply principles of mathematics, mechanics and physics in making measurements, rigging and repairing equipment Other duties as assigned Performs any auxiliary task or work necessary to prepare and accomplish Carbon Plant Maintenance which may require some work of other craft using basic knowledge such as: welding, tinning, machinist work, carpentry, and instrumentation Assist in on the job training of assigns duties, inspects and approves jobs as they are completed Simple knowledge or skills of another craft such as in general welding, Tinner, Machinist, Carpenter, Instrument Mechanic, lubrication, and types of simple maintenance work Ability to self-direct while working on jobs Maintain good housekeeping and safe work practices and procedures at all times
WHAT YOU NEED TO SUCCEED
High School Diploma or equivalent At least one of the following; Millwright Journeyman card, or Pipefitter Journeyman card, or Completed the NCCER Level 4 Industrial Maintenance Mechanic program with 4+ years of industrial related maintenance experience. Strong skills in math and understanding of physics as pertains to equipment Excellent communication, team player, consensus building, and interpersonal skills are required.
