About the role This position is responsible for repairing, adjusting, and maintaining industrial production and processing machinery in a safe, clean and efficient manner. Responsibilities Repairs and maintains the operating condition of industrial production or processing machinery and equipment Repairs and replaces broken or malfunctioning components of machinery and equipment Disassembles machinery and equipment to remove parts and make repairs Observes and tests the operation of machinery and equipment to diagnose malfunctions, using voltmeters or other testing devices Reassembles equipment after completion of inspections, testing, or repairs Cleans, lubricates, and adjusts parts, equipment, and machinery Examines parts for defects, such as breakage or excessive wear Records repairs and maintenance performed Performs changeovers and set-ups to equipment as required Assures all assigned equipment is clean and all safety guarding is in place Performs basic repairs on pneumatic and electrical systems Performs other duties as assigned Qualifications Education & Experience High School Diploma or equivalent 3 years technical experience; manufacturing environment, preferred Skills & Abilities Knowledge of machines and tools, including their designs, uses, repair, and maintenance Ability to read, write, speak, and understand the English language Basic computer skills Understanding of AC/DC circuits Basic knowledge of PLC’s Ability to read electrical schematics and pneumatic flow charts Travel This position may require minimal travel Leviton is an EEO/AA Employer.
