Full Job Description Qualifications:

industrial assemblies or industrial equipment (Hydraulic experience preferred). .Basic knowledge of STICK, MIG, or TIG welding processes of structural steel and/or pipe or willing to achieve qualification. Welding is only 5% of the job, however. Must be familiar with the use of mechanical hand tools and working from a mobile toolbox. Must possess technical ability to proficiently read and understand shop drawings and schematics, along with vocabulary knowledge used in steel, pipe, and hydraulic fields. Must have proficient knowledge and skills to set-up and operate fabrication equipment (Tube benders, Hose machines, Pipe threading machine, Welders, Horizontal band saw, Drill press, Iron worker, Forklift, Overhead crane, and common power tools). Must pursue product knowledge and advanced training to achieve higher quality, production, job titles and pay grades. Position requires a strong hands-on ability to layout systems and basic tube, hose and pipe routing. Must be willing to work out of town short term or fluctuating schedules as needed to meet the customer’s needs. Must assist in the preventive maintenance and service of installation equipment and tools to maintain their safe and effective use. Must have and maintain a valid drivers license and be comfortable operating large trucks and pulling trailers.

Responsibilities:

Provide a strong hands-on ability to layout, assembly, fabrication, inspect, service, troubleshoot, and install industrial hydraulic, lubrication and pneumatic assemblies, panels, skids, and systems. Read, understand, mark-up and process schematics, drawings, bills of material, quality sheets, test reports, and inspection documentation. Set-up and operate industrial tools and equipment such as, hose machines, tube benders, tube flaring machines, welders, pipe threading machine, band saws, drill presses, magnetic drills, iron worker, forklifts, manlifts, overhead cranes, and company vehicles. Size, measure, cut, assemble, crimp, clean, and install, of custom hoses assemblies. Size, layout, bend, flare, clean, install, and clamp, custom tube assemblies. Mechanical assembly, replacement and service of pumps & motors, filters, valves, heaters, coolers, manifolds, panels, and other industrial hydraulic components. Fabricate brackets, clamps, supports, and mounting pads for securing tube, pipe, and hose runs. Continuously improve knowledge of product types, operation, applications, and model codes. Continuously improve knowledge of fabrication processes, procedures, and practices. Maintain and promote a positive relationship and teamwork with other coworkers. Maintain a clean and safe driving record and adhere to company driving policies.

Summary:

As an Installation Technician, you will be a vital part of the team, meeting customers’ needs for the installation, repair, upgrade, and service of industrial hydraulic, lubrication, and mechanical systems throughout the manufacturing industry.

Job Type/Schedule:

Full time position on day shift Monday through Friday with some overtime and weekend work required.

Area of travel:

Our territory is the southeast (Virginia, North Carolina, South Carolina, Georgia, and Tennessee). Travel outside of this territory may be required sometime.

Work Environment:

Varies from mostly indoors to some outdoors at industrial manufacturing facilities. (example: Automotive, Lumber, Steel, Fiber Optics, Aerospace, Racing, Food Processing, Military Ship Building)
