$41-$44 per hour 1st

Shift:

 7am-3:30pm Monday-Friday 

DUTIES AND

RESPONSIBILITIESProvide multi-skilled Industrial maintenance support focused on customer service, quality, cost, and productivity in Total Productive Improvement (TPM) and continuous improvement (CI) environmentMaintain the responsibilities and performance requirements within all fields of the Maintenance Technician Apprentice and Technician levels I & II positionsSet up, adjust, and maintain assigned equipment with responsibility and focus on uptime and quality on allUnderstanding and performing preventive, predictive, and Line call maintenance on production machinery, completing and documenting all work in a timely fashionKnow and practice the principles of a respectful workplaceQualificationsAssociate degree with 1-2 years of industrial maintenance experience or 5-7 years of equivalent industrial maintenance experienceElectrical SkillsUse a volt-ohm meter (VOM) to measure AC and DC current, AC and DC voltage, and resistance for troubleshooting purposesUnderstand the functions of components and operating features of relays, circuit breakers, Programmable Logic Controllers, motor encoders, motors, and sensorsAbility to work at 480 volts AC/DC and troubleshootCarrying out preventive maintenance programs for electrical systemsUnderstanding of Lock Out Tag Out and Arc FlashDesired but not necessary: understanding electronic components and troubleshootingMechanical SkillsUnderstand the basic components, operation, inspection, and maintenance of various types of valves, including safety valves and air valvesDisassemble, inspect, reassemble, and valves and air cylindersDisassemble, inspect, repair, and reassemble the GearboxObserve and understand the equipment sequence of operation and configuration to isolate failure and perform root cause analysisOrganizing and conducting preventive maintenance programsUnderstand the characteristics and operation of foreign industrial equipment, systems, and their components, as well as the safety hazards associated with themTroubleshoot problems with pneumatic systemsObserve and understand pneumatic sequence of operation and configuration to isolate failure and perform root cause analysisReviews production schedule and, when equipment is not scheduled for manufacturing, performs scheduled maintenanceAnalyzes mechanical, electrical, and operational problems on assigned equipmentTests equipment to ensure operation clears jams and sets aside product, ensuring the equipment is ready to runMakes preventive maintenance checks and inspections of assigned equipment, reports findings to the supervisor, and takes appropriate actionPerforms other duties as requestedPhysical RequirementsSome heavy lifting required to replace motors, pumps, extruder screws, etc., at low frequency Equipment is provided to move and manipulate heavy componentsOccasionally – lift /carry objects 50 lbs.

Occasionally – Squat, crawl, reach above shoulders, kneel, and balanceThe job requires repetitive actions such as simple grasping, firm grasping, and fine manipulation. (This includes right and left hands)Outside work requiredWorking with various chemicalsHigh work from scaffolding, ladders, and platformsWorking in confined space conditionsWearing the proper PPEHandling hazardous waste wearing the appropriate PPE.Working near energized electric circuitsWorking near hot equipment and or materialsEducation, Certifications, and Job QualificationsPC skills.

Minimum of a Class A Journeyman License required, or working towards and obtaining, or currently possessing Electrical qualifications and/or Mechanical field qualificationsTime served experience in the maintenance fieldMust own basic hand toolsMust be available to work on call as neededWillingness to work as part of a team or independently as the situation requiresLeadership skills are a plus
