Packaging Mechanic I – Second Shift Reed-Lane Inc. 359 Newark Pompton Turnpike, Wayne, NJ 07470 Join Our Team as a Packing Mechanic! Reed-Lane Inc. is looking for a Packing Mechanic I to join our dynamic team and support high-quality packaging operations in a fast-paced, GMP-regulated environment. What You’ll Do:
Set up, adjust, maintain, and repair a variety of packaging equipment to meet production goals. Perform line changeovers, troubleshoot issues, and minimize downtime. Conduct routine inspections and preventive maintenance. Work collaboratively with Production, Quality, and Maintenance teams to ensure smooth operations. Follow GMP, safety, and company protocols to maintain a clean and compliant work environment.
What We’re Looking For:
Strong troubleshooting skills and mechanical aptitude. Previous experience in a packaging or manufacturing role is preferred Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions accurately. Knowledge of proper lockout/tagout procedures to maintain a safe environment and comply with EHS regulatory procedures. Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a team environment. Familiarity with GMP standards and safety procedures a strong plus. Knowledge of and ability to use machine shop equipment.
