Job Description
The Millwright plays a vital role in the assembly, installation, andmaintenance of machinery and equipment. This position reports to theForeman and is not responsible for the oversight of other teammates.
This is a full-time, hourly non-exempt position.
- Your Role
- Readand interpret blueprints, schematics and detailed repair drawingsrelated to construction equipment and machinery
- Rigging, moving, andsetting machinery and equipment on pads
- Setting and alignment ofbaseplates associated with machinery
- The alignment and coupling ofmachinery and motor shafts
- Adjustment and installation of vibrationisolation
- Layout and setting of templates associated with settingequipment baseplates
- Rigging and setting of machinery, pumps,equipment, and process storage tanks
- Align machines and equipmentusing hoists, jacks, hand tools, squares, rules, micrometers, plumb bobsetc.
- Move machinery and equipment using hoist, dollies, rollers, andtrucks
- Repair and lubricate machines and equipment
- Assemblemachines, and bolt, welt, rivet or otherwise fasten them to foundationor other structures using hand tools and power tools
- Your Educationand Experience
- Extensive knowledge of construction equipment andmachinery
- High School or Vocational and or relevant work experience
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience within the construction industry
- Experience in wastewater and water treatment plants highly preferred

- WorkEnvironment/Physical Demands
- Ability to lift 50 pounds
- Ability tostand for extended periods of time, and safely maneuver around thenearby presence of various construction equipment and vehicles, on anactive construction site
- Prepared to regularly encounter movingmechanical parts, high precarious places, fumes or airborne particles,and a variety of outside weather conditions
- Able to climb temporary orpermanent stairs, and ladders
- Able to bend, squat, kneel, crawl,crouch, balance, and stoop, reach on a regular basis
- Specific visionabilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision,color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjustfocus
- Travel
