Full Job Description Responsibilities:

Brasfield & Gorrie, a leading General Contractor in the Southeast, is seeking a skilled and dedicated Millwright to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in mechanical systems and machinery, with the ability to repair industrial equipment. This role requires a keen eye for detail and a commitment to safety and quality in all tasks.

Job Summary:

We are on the hunt for a dedicated and detail-oriented Millwright to join our ever-growing team. The perfect candidate will have a robust understanding of mechanical systems and machinery with a honed ability to diagnose and repair industrial equipment. A strong commitment to safety and precision is crucial. Responsibilities and Essential Duties include the following (other duties may be assigned): Requirements Proven experience as a Millwright or similar role in an industrial setting. Familiarity with oxyacetylene torches. Familiarity with teardown and assembly of mechanical components. Familiarity with welding techniques and practices. Ability to operate forklifts safely. Strong understanding of power tools and their proper usage. Attention to detail with excellent problem-solving skills. Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment. Commitment to safety standards and practices at all times. Teardown and assembly of machinery in line with strict specifications and safety standards. Utilize an array of tools, including power tools, micrometers, and bore gauges, ensuring accurate assembly and upkeep. Perform welding tasks as needed to support repairs or modifications. Troubleshoot mechanical issues that arise during operations.

Requirements:

Proficient with oxyacetylene torches and mechanical component assembly. Skilled in various welding techniques and best practices. Deep understanding of power tools and their correct usage. Exceptional attention to detail and advanced problem-solving capabilities. Ability to work autonomously and collaboratively within a fast-paced team, bringing a positive attitude. Qualifications & Experience:

Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Millwright in construction or industrial maintenance(preferably a steel mill). Strong knowledge of mechanical systems, hydraulics, pneumatics, and industrial equipment. Proficiency in using precision measuring instruments and hand tools. Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and equipment manuals. Welding and fabrication experience preferred. Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work independently or as part of a team. Strong commitment to safety protocols and procedures.
