The successfulcandidate will work with a multidisciplinary team as a RFcommunications hardware designer and tester. The successfulcandidate should be interested in the inter-disciplinary nature ofthe cyber-physical problem space and be willing to develop newexpertise in the pursuit of solving unconventional problems. Yourfuture projects will focus on prototype applications in thewireless domain. As a key member of our team, you will contributeto prototype design, development, and testing, including hardwareand instrumentation software.
Required skills include:
Knowledge ofwireless technology and communications systems Ability to analyzeand resolve highly complex technical problems quickly andindependently RF/Analog circuit and power conversion circuit designExperience with electrical concepts pertaining to wirelesscommunication transmitter and receiver processing chains Experiencewith mechanical concepts pertaining to RF power circuits Experiencewith MATLAB, Python, and gnuradio Experience with software definedradios (SDRs) or other communications systems, and applying signalprocessing techniques to these systems RF/Microwave lab skills withproficiency in the operation of lab equipment (e.g. oscilloscope,multi-meter, spectrum analyzer, network analyzer, digitizer,arbitrary waveform generator, synthesizer, etc.) A BS degree inelectrical engineering or equivalent experience in the fieldDesired skills include: Familiarity with radio-frequency (RF)phenomenology, electronics, and unintended RF emissions Installing,deploying and testing of RF equipment and systems An interest infield test deployments and experiment design Documenting designsand keeping records of development, procurements and shipmentsProviding technical support and advice to colleagues and sponsorsFamiliarity with applied AI concepts
