What you will do Install, commission, and maintain industrial water and centrifugal chillers, including systems with Frick, SABRO, and YORK compressors, on marine vessels and facilities. Perform routine and emergency maintenance on refrigeration and air conditioning systems, ensuring peak efficiency and compliance with safety and environmental standards. Troubleshoot and resolve complex issues in large-scale chiller and refrigeration systems, with a strong focus on marine applications. Overhaul compressors and other critical components to enhance system reliability and performance. Collaborate with marine engineers to optimize refrigeration layouts and minimize operational downtime. Maintain detailed documentation of technical procedures, system modifications, and compliance checks. Provide guidance and training to junior technicians, with emphasis on industrial chillers and marine refrigeration systems. Stay updated on technological advancements in marine HVAC and refrigeration, integrating new tools and techniques as needed. What we look for Required Extensive hands-on experience with industrial chillers, particularly water chillers, centrifugal chillers, and Frick, SABRO, and YORK compressors. Solid background in installing, commissioning, troubleshooting, and overhauling complex refrigeration systems. Certifications in HVAC and Refrigeration Technology; marine-specific training is a plus. Ability to read and interpret technical schematics and manuals for marine HVAC systems. Strong problem-solving skills in demanding marine environments. Physically fit and capable of working in confined and dynamic marine settings. Fluent in English, with strong communication skills for technical coordination and reporting. Must be a U.S. citizen or hold a valid Green Card (authorization to work in the United States is required). Willingness to travel for extended periods as required. Additional information This role is not intended for technicians with experience limited to residential or commercial chillers. We are specifically seeking professionals with a marine and industrial refrigeration background. Candidates may be subject to regular screenings to ensure compliance with technical, safety, and legal work requirements relevant to marine and industrial environments. Work is conducted in varied marine environments, often physically demanding and occasionally hazardous. Flexibility for night and weekend shifts is required to meet client operational schedules.
