Position Summary:

This position is responsible for operating,monitoring, and providing preventive maintenance to therefrigeration system. Essential Duties, Functions and responsibilities: Monitor refrigeration system to include compressors,components, condensers, air units and air conditioning units andperform preventive maintenance and repair as scheduled. Basic trouble shooting/repair/PM of all refrigeration and iceconveying equipment in plant and freezer areas. Ability to start up equipment during pre-shift such as icemaker and chillers. Electrical trouble shooting on process and refrigerationequipment. Complete paperwork and logs as required.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

Ability to work in a fast paced environment Basic math skills required. Ability to take accurate measurements and maintain paperworkthroughout shift. Ability to communicate effectively and follow verbal andwritten instructions & policies Accountable to maintain punctual and regular attendance forscheduled work hours. Must be able to work in a team atmosphere Must be willing and able to perform physical requirements ofthe job with or without reasonable accommodation. English Physical Requirements:

Standing (8 hours a day or more) Lifting, carrying, pushing orpulling (up to and including 50lbs or more). Operating hand heldand/or mechanical machinery. Walking/climbing stairs and ladders.

Gripping, grasping, and twisting using hands and wrists. Bendingand stooping for long periods of time. Ability to wear respiratorand/or work in confined spaces.

Working Conditions/Department Description:

Shifts are approximately12 hours with one beginning around 4:00AM and the other around4:00PM. Overtime and weekend work may be required. Ability to workin extreme temperature conditions, some below -20 degrees.

Preventive maintenance is often scheduled on plant down days orSaturdays. There is mandatory seasonal work for approximately 5 to6 weeks during the months of October and November, which includesworking 7 days per week. Job assignments are subject to thesupervisor’s discretion, and job duties may vary day-to-daydepending on department needs.
