Chocolate Covered Company is a fast-growing, entrepreneurial eCommerce business specializing in premium chocolate gifts for top national retail clients. From artisan chocolate-covered strawberries to gift assortments, we operate a lean, hands-on production facility focused on quality, customization, and safety. We’re looking for a mechanically inclined, hands-on individual to help maintain and support our expanding range of chocolate and packaging machinery. This includes a variety of equipment— flow wrappers, shrink wrappers, and custom wrapping machines , as well as chocolate tempering and enrobing machines . This is a part-time, flexible support role with the potential to expand over time. The ideal candidate is someone mechanically savvy and adaptable, able to assist with a range of general maintenance tasks.

Key Responsibilities:

Perform maintenance and repairs on horizontal and vertical flow wrapping machines , shrink wrap systems , and custom packaging equipment Reconfigure machines for different product sizes and ensure safe, reliable operation Troubleshoot and resolve mechanical issues across chocolate and packaging equipment Assist with upkeep of chocolate tempering machines, enrobers, and general production equipment Support maintenance of facility equipment , including HVAC, refrigeration , and warehouse machinery as needed Conduct routine safety checks and ensure machines are in compliance with all safety standards Coordinate with vendors and service providers for specialized repairs or parts Assist production and operations teams in daily setup and troubleshooting Serve as a flexible, go-to resource for general facility and equipment support

Qualifications:

Proven experience working with packaging machinery , especially flow wrappers and shrink wrappers Strong mechanical aptitude with a willingness to adapt to a variety of technical tasks Familiarity with chocolate or food production machinery preferred Basic understanding of HVAC or refrigeration systems a plus Able to diagnose and resolve safety hazards quickly and responsibly Comfortable working in a small, fast-paced production environment Organized, dependable, and responsive to urgent needs Understanding of OSHA and food safety requirements preferred Technical certifications preferred
