Technician – Hydraulic (2nd Shift) Position Available In Blair, Pennsylvania

Ziegler CAT has an opening for a full-time Technician to work in our hydraulic shop. We are looking for a dedicated employee with excellent troubleshooting and diagnostic skills at our Altoona branch. This position is on a four, ten-hour day work schedule: Tue-Fri, 3pm-1:30am.

The pay range for this position is $26.00 to $44.00 Starting wage is dependent on skills, experience, education and location. Pay range may vary by 10% depending upon the applicant’s location. Responsibilities:

Troubleshoot and repair hydraulic cylinders Document work orders in a complete and timely manner to ensure a high level of customer satisfaction Work safely at all times, following company policies, procedures and standards Work collaboratively and assist other technicians as needed regarding troubleshooting repairs Participate in ongoing training to enhance mechanical skills and grow product knowledge

Qualifications:

2-year technical college degree in diesel technology or related field; or High school diploma/GED and 2 years of comparable shop mechanic experience 2+ years of relevant experience preferred Working knowledge of hydraulic cylinders and systems Ability to write and communicate effectively and interact with supervisors, customers and team members Basic computer skills to document work orders and utilize online diagnostic systems Own mechanic tool set Ability to maintain a safe and clean work environment This role is deemed safety sensitive and requires the ability to successfully complete a pre-employment drug test Minimum physical requirements: Push/pull up to 50 lbs Lift/carry up to 60 lbs Lift bulky objects Standing, walking, using hands, talking, hearing, neck rotation, trunk rotation, stair climbing, ladder climbing, repetitive bending, kneeling, sustained squat, forward reaching, overhead reaching, supine overhead reaching, crawling, bin lift, high steps, fingering/grasping – able to use bolt box. Working Conditions may be indoor and/or outdoor. Noise level may be loud at times.
