Refrigeration Technician C&S Mechanical and Maintenance, LLC South Carolina Our growing commercial company is looking for a Refrigeration technician. Please review the list of responsibilities and qualifications. While this is our ideal list, we will consider candidates that do not necessarily have all the qualifications but have sufficient experience and talent. Responsibilities for Refrigeration maintenance. Ability to install equipment, in accordance with project requirements and under the direction of a senior technician. Ability to provide support with air handler drains, piping for split systems, overhead duct. Provides department support by processing job tickets, work orders to the necessary. Ability to provide support with display case drains, walk-in box drains, overhead hangers, and piping, etc. Be able to always maintain clean and professional jobsites/work areas. Perform work on minor construction and remodeling projects including startups of new installations. Provides general repair work on refrigeration, heating, and ventilation equipment, such as air conditioning units, evaporative condensers, ice machine equipment, water pumps, gas furnaces, compressors and electric motors in a safe and timely manner. Ability to use hand tools, powered vehicles, machinery, and PPE as directed and by policy. Provide assistance and support to senior technician/s on a job. Ability to operate a scissor lift or forklift. Requirements and skills Proven work experience and a Refrigeration technician or similar roles. Must possess and maintain a valid driver’s license and ability to drive multiple hours daily. Must be at least 18 years of age. An accredited High school diploma or GED, at least 2 years of electrical/mechanical experience preferred. You should be able to work overtime and on-call as required. Experience working on refrigeration equipment. Knowledge of commercial refrigeration Experience in commercial refrigeration, HVAC, gas furnace and electrical required EPA certification Ability to efficiently troubleshoot and repair computer controls and refrigeration equipment. Good mechanical aptitude skills Good communication skills and the ability to build relationships with customers, coworkers, and management. Must be able to lift up to 60 lbs. Work with no assistance and be able to sit and/or stand for several hours at a time. What makes a good Refrigeration Technician? A good Refrigeration technician needs to have excellent communication skills to interact with customers to understand their needs and provide solutions. In addition, they need to have a thorough understanding of different types of refrigeration systems to fix issues in a timely manner. Who does a Refrigeration Technician work with? Most Refrigeration Technicians work with customers and along with lead senior technicians. They are supervised by project managers who assign them tasks throughout their shift.
