Refrigeration Technician Essential Duties and Responsibilities, and Physical demands may include the following : Installation, maintenance, and repair of transport refrigeration equipment.

May include:

drilling holes and/or mounting brackets, soldering/welding, running and connecting hoses, assemble structural and functional components such as motors, controls, switches, gauges, wiring harnesses, valves, pumps, compressors, condensers, cores, and pipes. Starts system, observes operation, reads gauges and instruments, and adjusts mechanisms such as valves, controls, and pumps to control level of fluid, pressure, and temperature in system. Dismantles malfunctioning systems and tests components. Replaces or adjusts defective or worn parts to repair systems. Competency in required job skills and knowledge; exhibits ability to learn and apply new skills; keeps abreast of current developments; requires minimal supervision; displays understanding of how job relates to others; uses resources effectively. Able to adapt to changes in the workplace. Able to meet productivity standards by completing work in a timely manner Manages difficult or emotional customer situations; responds promptly to customer needs; solicits customer feedback to improve service; responds to requests for service and assistance; meets commitments Demonstrates required technological skills; adapts to new technologies; troubleshoots technological problems; uses technology to increase productivity; keeps technical skills up to date. While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts and fumes or airborne particles. The employee is frequently exposed to high, precarious places. Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations. To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Internet software and Manufacturing software. Job Requirements & Qualifications Must hold a clean and valid driver’s license Basic mechanical knowledge is a must. At least 1 year of relevant experience High school diploma or general education degree (GED) or equivalent combination of education and experience. Experience working with customers, vendors and all levels of an organization is preferred. Ability to lift up to 50lbs. Ability to stand for long periods of time, work in air conditioned office, outside, in service truck, and workshop. Requires occasional bending, stooping, lifting and carrying Requires being on call rotation
