Recreation Facilities Technician Arcade and Go Karts Job Summary:

The Recreation Facilities Technician is integral to the operational efficiency, safety, and guest satisfaction of various recreational facilities including arcades, go-karts, mini-golf courses, and the physical buildings themselves. This position involves detailed maintenance, troubleshooting, customer service, and building upkeep to ensure an optimal entertainment experience.

Key Responsibilities:

Maintenance and Repairs Conduct regular inspections and perform maintenance on arcade machines, go-karts, mini-golf equipment, and facility structures. Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, and structural issues to minimize downtime and ensure safety and functionality. Perform tasks such as painting, minor plumbing, and carpentry to maintain building aesthetics and integrity. Safety Compliance Ensure all equipment, facilities, and building structures comply with local, state, and federal safety regulations. Perform safety checks and risk assessments on all operational equipment and building facilities to prevent accidents and injuries. Maintain and update safety protocols and emergency response procedures. Customer Service Assist guests with questions, concerns, and technical issues in a friendly and efficient manner. Provide instructions and safety briefings to guests using the facilities. Resolve any guest complaints or problems related to facility equipment and building conditions. Operational Support Set up equipment for daily operations and special events. Train other staff members on proper operational, safety, and maintenance procedures. Coordinate with management and other team members to implement promotional activities or events. Inventory and Supply Management Keep track of inventory for spare parts, tools, supplies, and building maintenance materials. Order new supplies and manage vendor relationships. Ensure all tools, maintenance equipment, and building supplies are in good working condition and stored properly.

Skills and Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent; technical training in electronics, mechanics, building maintenance, or a related field is preferred. Experience in maintaining recreational or entertainment equipment and facility management, with knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and structural systems. Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with an emphasis on customer service. Ability to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays.

Physical Requirements:

Physical ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform tasks that may require bending, climbing, or walking for long periods. Comfortable working indoors and outdoors in various weather conditions.
