Description Broiler Service Technician
GENERALSUMMARY
Responsible for monitoring bird mortality, feed conversion,sizing, and scheduling. Works with contract growers bymonitoringhouse conditions and providing recommendations on issues that canimprove bird performance and reduce cost for the company andgrower.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Acts as a liaisonbetween company and growers.
Monitors husbandry practices by growersand makes recommendations to growers.
Tracks, records, and analyzesbird mortality rates.
Maintains feed tank inventories and ordersfeed when necessary.
May schedule and train other employees.
EDUCATION
Typically requires a Bachelor’s degree in a poultryscience or related field.
EXPERIENCE
Typically requires greaterthan 2 up to 5 years of
DIRECTLY RELATED
experience. Experience maybe considered in lieu of educational requirement.
