Job Description

Construction Installation Technician G.C. Specialties Mobile, AL 36606 Installation Technician Join G.C. Specialties Inc. (GCS), an architectural specialty contractor in Mobile, AL, with 27 years of service! We provide product sales and installation for Division 8, 10, and 11 items. Purpose of position:

To efficiently install construction specialty items.

  • Overhead Doors
  • Sectional Doors
  • Bathroom Partitions
  • Operable Walls
  • Many more Architectual specialties.
Essential Functions:

(must be able to perform these functions, with or without a reasonable accommodation).

  • Determines layout and installation procedures.
  • Loads and unloads trucks with supplies & equipment.
  • Correctly assembles and installs products.
  • Safety and correctly utilizes hand & power tools.
  • Erects Scaffolding.
  • Prepares and maintains work materials and supplies including maintaining vehicles.
  • Safety works on scaffolding and heights, indoors and outdoors, including lifting and moving heavy objects.
  • Completes all job related paperwork in a timely manner.
  • Regular attendance is required as outlined in The Company’s attendance policy.
  • Acts as a positive role model in all aspects of professional performance.
  • Observes safety procedures and personnel policies and ensures the same from accounting staff. Skills, knowledge and abilities: (these are required to enable job holder to perform the essential functions of the job).
  • Must be able to interact cordially and productively with customers.
  • Must be able to maintain an effective working relationship with, and among employees and supervisors.

  • Must be able to climb ladders.
  • Works in warehouse, yard and office as needed.
