Job Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled individual to join our team as an Optical Technician/Optician. This dual role caters to individuals with varying levels of expertise in the optical field. Responsibilities:
Assist patients in selecting frames and lenses that best suit their medical, aesthetic, and lifestyle needs. Accurately measure and adjust eyewear, ensuring a perfect fit. Interpret optical prescriptions written by optometrists. Manage inventory, including ordering and maintaining optical supplies. Perform routine checks and maintenance on optical equipment. Educate patients on eyewear care and maintenance. Operate the lab edger to cut and fit lenses according to precise specifications. Qualifications:
For Optical Technicians:
Prior experience in an optical setting is required. Strong customer service and communication skills. Detail-oriented with an ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently. High school diploma or equivalent; further education is a plus.
For Optician:
Must possess an active American Board of Opticianry (ABO) certification. Proven experience as an optician in a busy clinic. Proficiency in all areas of optometric technology and eyewear sales.
