$28-33/hour employment type: experience level: mid level job title: Boiler Technician Southern Combustion Services is a Florida-based mechanical contractor specializing in process heating systems — including industrial burners, boilers, ovens, and combustion controls. We serve manufacturing plants, food processors, and industrial facilities throughout the region. We’re seeking an experienced combustion technician who takes pride in their work and is ready to grow with a trusted and respected team. ________________________________________
Responsibilities:
- Service, repair, and startup of industrial burners, boilers, & other processing heating equipment.
- Read schematics and work safely with electrical & piping systems
- Maintain clear, professional communication with clients and coworkers
- Travel as needed to job sites across Florida (primarily day trips)
- Occasional overnight travel within the state of Florida.
Requirements:
- 5+ years hands-on experience in industrial burners and boilers with strong understanding of combustion, controls, and instrumentation
- Minimum of 2 years running service independently
- Working knowledge of manufacturers such as: Cleaver-Brooks, Johnston, Power Flame, Limpsfield, Eclipse & Maxon
- Knowledge of linkageless burner controls highly preferred
- Ability to work independently and/or with a team
- Basic computer skills for documentation and reporting
- Valid driver’s license required
- Must meet the requirements of a JLA background.
