Position Summary:
The Repair technician is responsible for repairing any issues on fiberglass hulls and decks, and small parts. Responsibilities Conduct repairs for final gel coat application and match new finish to existing gel coat. Spray gel coat, wet sand, and buff to match new finish. Spray nonskid gel coat. Repair nonskid gel coat (sand and diamond pattern). Must be able to follow all safety rules and hazardous material guidelines. Able to follow directions and have attention to detail. Able to work in a fast-paced environment. Must be able to always keep work area and nearby area clean. All other duties as might be required.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent. Experience with different types of sandpaper grits. Experience in gel coat repair and/or auto body repair. Some dexterity. Ability to work with others.
Physical Demands:
Bending, kneeling (squatting), lifting, and twisting continuously throughout the day. Being able to stand/walk for up to or if not longer 10 hours each day. Have the ability to move heavy objects.
