About the Role As an Apprentice Repair Technician, you will take your first step into the rewarding world of camera and photography equipment repair. Your day-to-day will consist of the following: Responsibilities During your first three months: Identify foam replacement needs for cameras. Measure, cut, and replace foam light seals to specification. Clean gear as needed to ensure it meets grade standards.

After three months:

Begin limited assessments of cameras or lenses. Perform minor repairs to equipment, aiming for three pieces per week. Continue foam replacement and other foundational repair tasks. Qualifications We’re looking for applicants who are eager to learn, detail-oriented, and passionate about working with photography equipment.

A willingness to learn and grow within a team-focused environment. Professional or hobbyist experience in repair, soldering, troubleshooting, or related fields. Mechanical or electronic aptitude. Strong attention to detail. A positive, can-do attitude. The ability to self-manage and switch between tasks effectively. Strong verbal and written communication skills to follow instructions. Patience, tact, and confidence when dealing with complex issues. Photographic/product knowledge experience (a plus).
