Summary:
A Service Technician is responsible for assessing problems, providing technical repair and service work for windows and doors.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Install and service, including repair and replacement, a wide range of products, parts, and hardware
- Educate customers regarding replacements and needed repairs when applicable
- Provide professional and friendly customer service
- Educate customers regarding the correct use and upkeep of their products
- Assess hardware and installation functionality
- Prepare reports regarding installations, maintenance, and repair work that they have performed
- Ensure work is completed accurately and safely
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Trim Carpentry experience preferred
- Knowledge of how to maintain, repair, diagnose and correctly install or replace products
- Firm technical knowledge of blueprints, diagrams, and schematics
- Excellent communication skills
- Strong knowledge of tools and different equipment types
- Strong written communication abilities for filing repair, installation, and maintenance reports
- Physical stamina in the handling of complex tools and equipment
- Ability to work with minimal supervision while using technical judgment regarding complex tasks
