Talascend is currently seeking a Mechanical/Hydraulic Assembly Technician for a contract opportunity located in Broussard, LA. Job Purpose
We are currently seeking an entry-level Mechanical/Hydraulic Assembly Technician to support the assembly and testing of mechanical and hydraulic assemblies of low complexity. Key Interactions
Internal:
Service Workshop, Customer Services, QHSES, and Engineering teams
Main Accountabilities
Apply and develop basic skills in the operation and usage of procedures, techniques, tools, materials, and/or equipment
Identify different types of products and tooling properties
Complete all required test documentation, including test reports, failed test reports, and Non-Conformance Reports (NCR), as requested
Clean components according to specifications and verbal/written instructions
Assist experienced Technicians with advanced activities
Ensure all equipment, tooling, and spare parts are prepared and ready for assembly and/or testing
Learn and adhere to company safety procedures and practices
Job Scope
This position is generally characterized as a “Learner” role. The technician will perform tasks based on detailed instructions, under close supervision, and with daily interaction with a supervisor or senior technician.
Typical Profile / Must Have Qualifications
High school diploma or GED equivalent
Technical diploma preferred
Basic knowledge and use of tools, equipment, and techniques
Willingness to learn and follow instructions
Team player with a strong work ethic
