As the Water/Sewer Technician, you will be responsible for assisting the crew leader in carrying out assigned duties. Laborers answer to their assigned crew leader, however, they may be assigned to different crews on a daily basis wherever the need exists.

The Day-to-Day
Helps in repairs and construction of water and sewer lines.
Assists in making new water and sewer taps.
Helps in ensuring all tools are accounted for and are in clean and operative condition.
Assists in housekeeping duties of his or her assigned area when requested to do so.
Ensures all working assignments are carried out in a safe, efficient manner.
The Skills We Are Looking for
Must be 18 years or older.
Must have a valid driver’s license.
Knowledge of operating characteristics of assigned equipment.
Knowledge of work hazards and safety precautions.
Must be willing to learn all assigned tasks and have good work ethics.
Motivation to learn equipment operations for promotional opportunities.
Ability to understand and follow oral and written instructions, including H2O’s department rules, policies and regulations.
Ability to communicate effectively with other personnel and supervisors.
Ability to deal with the public on a regular basis in a professional, courteous manner.
