Summary:
The HVAC Install Technician will be responsible for installing new heating, ventilation and air conditioning systems including packaged rooftop units, split systems, evaporative coolers, exhaust fans, water heaters, ductless and controls. The HVAC Install Technician will also be responsible for helping solve field issues/problems surrounding installations, communicating with clients on site and ensuring a positive experience, and driving process improvements that lead to better productivity.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Drive a safety culture. Maintain a Safety-First mindset. Identifies safety concerns and helps determine solutions. Install, and change-out of residential and light commercial air conditioning, ventilation and heating systems. Plan and perform an installation to the requirements of local code with the expectation that each job passes final mechanical on the first time. Ensure jobs are properly staged and complete and sign off on installation checklists. Ability to use electrical test equipment, pressure gauges, hand tools, and power tools. Ability to work independently, or part of a team, to identify and resolve problems in the field. Maintain a clean and organized work area and vehicle Adhere to all safety protocols and guidelines Communicate and coordinate with clients to understand their specific requirements and ensure customer satisfaction throughout the project.
Qualification requirements:
Pipe-fitting/welding experience; knowledge of HVAC systems Ability to read drawings and construction plans Maintains Safety and IRON values. I ntegrity, R espect, O wnership, and N o “I” just “we” Ability to read and understand English.
Physical Requirements:
Ability to drive forklift and make appropriate safety decisions when operating forklift. Ability to lift, bend, stoop, climb, and/or step-up on a regular basis. Ability to lift 25 pounds frequently and 50 pounds occasionally. Ability to utilize a ladder and complete work higher than 6 feet off the ground/on the roof.
