Commercial Installer I Position Available In Mecklenburg, North Carolina

Job Description:

Role and Responsibilities Responsible for multiple tasksinvolving the take down of used commercial doors and / orequipment, installation of new commercial doors, operators,equipment and multiple service categories on doors, operators andassociated equipment. Other duties may be assigned. Evaluateappropriate commercial door and installation/service requirementsfor each job. Prior to commencement of work, determine ifappropriate tools and equipment are working and / or available.

Establish the needs of each job and document the fullinstallation/service needed. Determine if added work needs to beperformed and the measures needed to assure approved installationof product. Alterations, construction modifications andobstructions must be noted before each job is to begin.

Documentation of the work to be performed is discussed with theSalesperson and/or Scheduling Supervisor for approval. Performrelated minor work in framing, build in’s, and adjustments. Serviceand/or install Wayne Dalton Corp. commercial garage doors usingappropriate tools, hardware and equipment. Service and/or installWayne Dalton Corp. and other manufactured commercial garage dooroperators. Perform commercial service/installation on a wide rangeof products, including hinges, operators, door sections, rollingsteel, torsion springs, dock equipment, locks, etc. Care andmaintenance of equipment and tools provided by Wayne Dalton ofKennewick. Care and maintenance of vehicles provided by WayneDalton of Kennewick. Maintain appropriate parts inventory in thevehicle to ensure that items are available for service /installation work. Secondary Responsibilities Represent WayneDalton Corp. with customers and present themselves in aprofessional demeanor. Provide explanation of the work to beperformed and work finished. Description of operating functions,safety systems, operator controls and proper customer maintenanceare required. Provide service that is expedient and well preparedunderstanding the various types of doors, operators and hardware tobe serviced and / or installed. Upon completion of each service /installation call, clean work area and discard trash in appropriatecontainers or deliver such trash to designated drop site asdesignated by Wayne Dalton of Kennewick. Contact Wayne Dalton onradio dispatch system regarding job progress, time of completionand additional work that needs to be performed. Provide a billingdocument to the consumer and accept payment as determined by WayneDalton Corp. The back up copies of such information and payment areto be retained in a safe place and delivered to Wayne Dalton ofKennewick.
