Generator Technician 3.5 3.5 out of 5 stars 3600 Woodpark Boulevard, Charlotte, NC 28206 Summary Responsible for the installation, servicing, and maintenance of generator systems, including troubleshooting, preventative maintenance, and installations. Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned. Perform service and preventative maintenance on various generator models. Assist with installations of new generators and related equipment. Troubleshoot and diagnose electrical and mechanical issues with generators. Work with team members to ensure installations are done efficiently and according to industry standards. Maintain accurate service records, including maintenance logs and repair tickets. Educate customers on the proper care and maintenance of their generators. Collaborate with team members to ensure safety standards are met during service and installations. Education and/or Experience High school diploma or equivalent; some electrical or mechanical knowledge is preferred. Prior experience in maintenance, mechanical or electrical fields preferred. Computer Skills Basic computer skills; experience working with laptop and/or iPad. Additional Requirements Pre-employment drug screen and clean MVR. Language Skills Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization. Mathematical Skills Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs. Ability to perform hydraulic calculations and other standard functions. Reasoning Ability Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
