OTE:
$75,000.00 – $85,000.00
On Target Earnings include all cash components: car allowance, year-end bonus, commission, and base salary. Richard Wolf Medical Instruments Corporation is currently seeking a Guardian Service Specialist in or around the Rochester, NY area. The Guardian Service Specialist is responsible for assisting Independent Sales Reps in the territory with the objective of increasing RWMIC market share for repairs of endoscopic products. The Guardian Service Specialist will work in the assigned account(s) Sterile Processing and O.R. departments with responsibility for inspection, repair (either performing or facilitating) and replacement of instruments and electro-mechanical devices that are damaged. One of the primary goals of this position is to maintain the instrument sets so that they are ready for use in the surgical suite or physician office. The other primary goal is to keep repairs and replacement expenses within a predetermined budget for the account. Position requires daily visits to customers within a defined territory in an effort to promote the RWMIC Guardian Repair portfolio and to persuade them to utilize RWMIC Repair programs.
REQUIREMENTS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Repair orders will be solicited from all Richard Wolf customers within an assigned geography (territory); defective item picked up, and delivered or shipped back to RWMIC for Repair. Responsible for processing, shipping, and tracking all orders in close cooperation with customer service personnel
Schedule and perform preventative maintenance to ensure proper operation of customer’s RWMIC equipment and facilitates repairs/exchanges as needed as a result of inspections
Deliver, or arrange delivery, of repaired items back to the customer. Is knowledgeable about repair history, customer specific pricing and discounts available
Promote on site Repair Exchange transactions through assigned inventory. Good commercial aptitude and attention to detail is required
Directly responsible to the National Service & Repair Manager, but also must interact well with the territory (independent) reps in order to define proper account target selections, and routes, with the goal of maximizing repair revenues
Must have an understanding of all types of RWMIC products, and their applications in surgery, as well as thorough knowledge of various repair programs offered under the RWMIC Guardian Repair portfolio, their pricing, process and advantages to the customer
Must have a good understanding of technical issues resulting from 3rd party repairs and must be able to communicate and demonstrate defects and inadequate repairs to the customer
Position requires extensive daily travel, within the territory
ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES
Troubleshoot core nova equipment, if applicable
Complete and maintain certification for CCSVP, CRCST, or CST, as appropriate, within first year of employment
Aware of and comply with the RWMIC Quality Manual and applicable laws and regulations as they apply to this job type/position
Complete all planned Quality & Compliance training within the defined deadlines
Other duties as assigned by National Service & Repair Manager
QUALIFICATIONS
High school diploma. Strong preference for candidates with a college degree in biomedical engineering, RN (Registered Nurse) with O.R. experience, CRCST (Certified Registered Central Service Technician) or CST (Certified Surgical Technician) qualifications
Strong oral and verbal communications skills
Excellent PC skills, intermediate level on all MS Office Suite of products
Valid driver’s license and an excellent driving record are a must
Excellent organizational skills and ability to work unsupervised
Desirable to have 1-3 years experience in working with endoscopic equipment, and knowledge of minimally invasive surgeries
Experience with and understanding of cross-cultural differences and the ability to work within this environment is crucial for successful employment
