Job Summary:
We are seeking a Repair Technician for 1st shift to perform detailed hardware-level diagnostics and repairs on electronic assemblies and products. This role focuses on component-level debugging and soldering – no software or IT troubleshooting. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in electronics hardware repair, with the ability to read schematics, identify component failures, and carry out precise rework and soldering.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform root cause analysis and troubleshooting of electronic circuit boards and assemblies down to the component level. Use oscilloscopes, multimeters, logic analyzers, and other diagnostic equipment to identify failures. Conduct soldering and desoldering of through-hole and surface-mount (SMT) components per IPC standards. Repair or replace defective components using appropriate techniques and tools. Read and interpret schematics, technical drawings, and assembly documentation. Maintain accurate repair logs and documentation of work performed. Follow all safety procedures and company policies related to handling and repairing electronic hardware. Work collaboratively with quality and engineering teams to ensure product integrity.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent required; technical diploma or certification in electronics preferred. 2+ years of experience in hardware/electronic repair and troubleshooting. Strong soldering skills, including surface-mount and fine-pitch components (IPC certification a plus). Proficient with hand tools, diagnostic equipment, and soldering stations. Ability to diagnose and repair down to the component level without relying on software tools. Familiarity with ESD precautions and cleanroom practices. Detail-oriented with good documentation and communication skills.
Working Conditions:
Full-time, 1st shift position. Production floor environment with occasional use of microscopes and small tools. May involve standing or sitting for extended periods.
