JOB SUMMARY AND OBJECTIVE

Responsible for installing telephone, video, and HIS over Copper, Coax, and FTTP networks and Security in residential and some business environments. Basic computer networking and integration services with customer-owned equipment are required. Responsible for the basic repair of the above technologies and facilities. Provide excellent customer service and have the ability to communicate effectively with customers. The position requires “on-call” duty rotation which includes after-hours and weekends. Prepares proposals for prospective sales to new and existing customers, prepares job specifications and quotes, and conducts acceptance tests after installation of new equipment. Coordinating with school officials to set up installation dates and sites for the Business Technicians. Provide numbering schemes and training dates.

Perform duties as a supervisor:

interviewing, training new hires, approving UKG time entries and change requests, disciplinary action, motivating/rewarding employees, annual performance reviews, and employee job shadowing.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

Install telephone, video, and HSI over Copper, Coax, and FTTP to include ONT & fiber splicing in an efficient, customer-friendly, and safe manner to meet all Home Telecom standards Troubleshoot & repair telephone, video, HSI & security to residential and small business customers and repair cut drops, pull cables, and wires. Work remotely to provision and add equipment, and utilize HFA to complete any and all electronic forms. Troubleshoot remotely through CMS, Compass & iTV. Send signals to RF cable boxes. Integrate customer equipment with HTC services and train customers on services provided to ensure satisfaction. Identify opportunities to provide additional services and upgrade current services Operate company vehicle in a safe and courteous manner and keep clean at all times. Maintains accurate inventory. Other duties as directed by management.

EDUCATION AND REQUIREMENTS

Requires High School Diploma/GED required. Technical training and basic Electrical experience. 0-2 years of work experience in telecommunications or similar industry preferred. Commitment to delivering exceptional customer service. Strong communication skills, both written and verbal. Must have a valid clear South Carolina Driver’s license.
