This role supports both our internal packaging manufacturing plant and our external customers by ensuring machines run efficiently, are well-maintained, and are promptly repaired when needed. The ideal candidate has hands-on mechanical experience, strong problem-solving skills, and a commitment to delivering exceptional service. Key Responsibilities Perform mechanical installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair on various types of packaging equipment, including stretch wrappers, case erectors, conveyors, sealers, and more. Diagnose mechanical failures and identify solutions to minimize downtime and ensure optimal machine performance. Conduct equipment start-ups, testing, and validation at customer sites. Complete scheduled preventative maintenance at both the company facility and customer locations. Collaborate with engineering and manufacturing teams to support equipment modifications and upgrades. Document all service visits, repairs, parts used, and recommendations for continued maintenance. Train customers on basic maintenance procedures and equipment operation when required. Maintain company tools, service vehicle, and parts inventory in clean and functional condition. Follow all safety protocols and regulatory standards during service and installation work. Qualifications 2+ years of mechanical experience with packaging machinery or industrial equipment preferred. Technical degree, certification, or relevant trade school training preferred. Strong understanding of mechanical systems (hydraulics, pneumatics, gear drives, etc.). Ability to read technical drawings, schematics, and equipment manuals. Excellent troubleshooting, diagnostic, and mechanical repair skills. Ability to work independently and manage time effectively in the field. Strong communication and customer service skills. Willingness to travel locally and regionally to customer facilities (up to 50% travel). Valid driver’s license and clean driving record required.
