IT Technician – 1099 3.0 3.0 out of 5 stars Mobile, AL Rapidly growing Thermal Printer Service company is seeking an experienced field service printer hardware technician. This is a contract/1099 position. The field technician is responsible for installing, testing, repairing, and servicing Thermal Barcode Printers. Travel will be required. Will need to work independently or with a team.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Install, service, and maintain Thermal Barcode Printers Completes assigned tasks within the given time Multi-task and adapt to changes Maintain records of completed work and update via electronic system Must have their own hand tools Verbal and written communications with customers or dispatch team about the status of an installation, equipment repair, or other important information This position requires daily local travel of up to a 100-mile radius. Complete and maintain administrative tasks/paperwork, such as field service reports. Keep and maintain an inventory of parts.
Position Requirements:
Must be an LLC or a small company. $1 million liability coverage insurance per incident. High School degree or equivalent mandatory. 2 years of printer Maintenance and Installation experience. Electro-mechanical dexterity. Interpersonal skills, such as communication and customer service skills. Understanding of support tools and troubleshooting techniques, Self-motivated with the ability to work in a fast-moving environment Able to carry up to 75 pounds. Valid Driver’s License. Ability to work flexible shifts and to adapt to changing work schedules. Willingness to attend free printer training classes in South Carolina.
