Citizen Desired:

Knowledge of C2I, Link 11/16, BFTN, CEC and ADSI. Experience with shipboard communications systems, operations and troubleshooting, such as: Single Audio System, DMR/WSC-3, DAMA, UHF SATCOM, HFRG/URT-23, associated baseband and cryptographic equipment. Working knowledge of

GPETE/SPETE

(general/special purpose test equipment). Ability to obtain JLG / Lift equipment certification. Working knowledge of Microsoft Windows, Microsoft Office Suite and Adobe.

Physical/Mental Requirements:

Candidates are regularly required to: Talk, hear, stand, walk, bend, kneel, stoop, crouch, crawl and climb ladders. Frequent lifting and moving of items up to 50 pounds is necessary.

Job Description:

Candidates will be required to test, troubleshoot, repair, and modify electronic components, parts, equipment, and systems. Maintain, and repair electrical wiring, equipment, and fixtures. Ensure that work is in accordance with relevant standards. Diagnose or repair communications, sound, or security equipment and systems. Recommend changes in circuitry or installation specifications to simplify assembly and maintenance. Perform diagnosis and repairs on electronic and mechanical equipment. Perform preventive maintenance operations as required on a periodic basis. Adjust, calibrate, align, and modify circuitry and components and records effects on unit performance. Write technical reports and develop charts, graphs, and schematics to describe and illustrate system’s operating characteristics, malfunctions, deviations from design specifications, and functional limitations. Build complex cables to technical specifications. Test communications and systems to evaluate system performance under actual operating conditions. Install radio and specialized equipment in government vehicles and ships.

Clearance:

Selected applicants will be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information. Hire dates are dependent upon issuance of an interim or final security clearance.
